Please note - I typically book out about 3 months in advance and more than that during busy season (July-November). I’ll always do my best to accommodate but I can’t guarantee I will have availability. It never hurts to reserve your session early!

6. Where and when will our photo session take place? 

Photo sessions are done outdoors, in-home or in my south Seattle natural light studio. I have a go to list of favorite locations around the south Puget Sound. Together, we will choose the best location for your family. As for the best time of day for photo sessions, I will say this: light is important. REALLY important. Therefore I only shoot outdoors in the early mornings or evenings (an hour or so before sunset). Studio and Newborn sessions are much more flexible as they are done indoors. 

7. Can you tell me about the album included in my premium session? 

Included in your premium session is a beautiful 10x8 signature album with all the photos from your session. Designed by me and printed through my professional print lab, it has Layflat pages and a leather cover. You will choose the cover color and leave the rest of the design work to me!  Everyone loves albums but who has the time to make one? That's why I am doing it for you. I will ship right to your door. This keepsake item has quickly become a client favorite. You will love it! 

8. How and where do I print my photos? 

I’m so glad you asked because I REALLY, REALLY want you to print your photos! Don’t let them die on your computer. They are meant to be in the world! This is why I include a package with an album and why I encourage you to PRINT your favorite images. Each session type will have access to the print option through your proofing gallery and you can purchase as many prints as you would like and in a variety of sizes. Printed through Millers Professional Lab, they will be delivered right to your door. Since all of my sessions include a number of digitals, you can also print them from outside sources. Where you print DOES matter! You’ve invested your time and money into professional photos - I highly recommend seeing the process through with professional printing. For outside printing vendors, I would recommend Artifact Uprising or Mpix. If given the option, be sure to choose “do not color correct” as the images have already been professionally corrected for color. 

9. Do you offer mini-sessions? 

I no longer offer mini-sessions but I do offer seasonal petite sessions. Check my pricing page for details.

1. What type of a photographer are you? 

I am a natural-light photographer and I primarily photograph families and newborns. I also enjoy maternity, couple and senior portrait photography. 

2. What is your style? 

As a person, I am authentic, laid back, joyful, and introspective. I deeply value connection and the human experience. Therefore, you can expect those qualities to shine through in your images because that’s what I’m focusing on. I’ll confidently direct and document your photo session in a way that highlights the unique connection and love within your family dynamic. 

3. Where are you located? 

I am located just south of Seattle, in Normandy Park, WA. I serve the greater Seattle area and south sound including Bellevue, Issaquah, Burien, Tacoma, Gig Harbor, Kent, Renton and Federal Way. 

4. What should we wear for our session? 

First and foremost, wear something you LIKE and something you feel GOOD in. This confidence will transfer into the feel of your photos. Once you have YOUR outfit chosen (I’m talkin’ to you, mamas!), you can begin to think about outfits for the rest of your family. Choose coordinated clothing but not matching outfits. Stay away from logos, crazy patterns and neon colors. I’m happy to chat more about outfits and I even have clients text me photos of options they are considering. You can also peruse my website for ideas - my clients have great style! And please know this — Yes, what you wear matters. But it isn’t everything… not even close. My goal is to capture LOVE and CONNECTION and I can do that no matter what you are wearing. Having said that, you are investing your time and money into a professional photography experience - you won't regret putting some extra thought and care into what your wear. And hey, who doesn’t like getting dressed up a bit every now and then, right?!?! 

5. How long will our session take? 

Deluxe and Premium sessions take about 50 minutes (sometimes a bit less, sometimes a bit more). It's the perfect amount of time for everyone to feel comfortable and to capture a comprehensive set of images for you. I’ll never rush your session but, having four kids myself, I am also VERY realistic about how long (and how not long!) kids can last at a photo session. I have a solid workflow and I will move your photo session along at a nice pace that doesn't feel painful. The more traditional "posed" images happen in the beginning and then we’ll MOVE and play games to ensure we get the very best smiles and interactions. My hope is that you leave your session thinking, “well that was easy (and fun!).”

Newborn sessions do take a bit longer than other sessions as they are baby led sessions and we stop as often as necessary for changings and feedings. Petite sessions are just that... petite. They are quick, only about 15 minutes.
